5 Gorgeous places to visit in Colorado

I love Colorado. Definitely one of my favorite states! Especially during winter. All the abandoned mine ghost towns, ski spots, rivers, lakes and stunning sunsets, along with being surrounded by mountains everywhere is the coolest feeling.

Living in Colorado for two years I was able to visit a ton of beautiful places in this state, so this is a list of 5 stunning places in CO that I absolutely can’t wait to see again!

1. Golden, CO

Golden is a city and former gold rush town at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, in Colorado. This little town has a retro vibe, vintage trains and an 1800s-style. This place has tons of cool hiking spots, museums, mountains, white river rafting and railroads!

2. Vail, Colorado

Vail, Colorado, is a small town at the base of Vail Mountain, home of the massive Vail Ski Resort. Set within White River National Forest, the town is a gateway for winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding. It’s also a summertime destination for golfing, hiking and cultural festivals, fly fishing and hiking.

3. Boulder, CO

Boulder is a city at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, in northern Colorado. To the west, the trail-lined Flatirons are craggy rock formations overlooking the city. Downtown’s pedestrian Pearl Street Mall includes art galleries, cafes, restaurants and boutiques. The University of Colorado Boulder campus is home to the Fiske Planetarium and the Museum of Natural History, with zoology and anthropology exhibits.

4. Steamboat Springs, CO

Steamboat Springs is a city in northern Colorado’s Yampa Valley. It’s home to the Howelsen Hill ski area and the Steamboat ski resort. The latter has 6 peaks including Mount Werner. The city’s geothermal hot springs are said to have therapeutic properties. Near the city center, the long-standing Old Town Hot Springs is equipped with swimming and soaking pools, plus water slides.

5. Manitou Springs

Manitou Springs is a resort city in Colorado, just outside Colorado Springs. It’s known for its mineral springs and mountain landscapes, dominated by soaring Pikes Peak. The Manitou Cliff Dwellings are a group of reassembled ancient cliff structures. Hundreds of steps lead up a steep slope on the Manitou Incline Trail. Manitou Avenue is home to art galleries and specialty boutiques.

Colorado has such a sporty, outdoorsy, western feel and the spectacular scenery in this state has a view everywhere you look! I can’t wait to come here again and explore even more abandoned mines and railroads.

Me and the fam just set up a Christmas tree! So festive vibes are here! Ice skating is closed and i’m feeling temporarily depressed about that.. but I hope ya’ll have a great holiday season despite the new regulations.
